Cincinnati Loses a Heartbreaker 6-5

After falling behind 5-2, the 1790 Cincinnati Express fought hard to tie the game at 5.  Mexico City set up for a corner kick with 20 seconds remaining in regulation and buried the ball into the upper corner for the game winner.  Mexico City moves on to face the San Diego Sockers while Cincinnati's season comes to a close.
 

PASL-Pro North American Championships to be Broadcast Exclusively on 619sports.net

619Sports.Net, the home of the San Diego Sockers, is proud to be named the exclusive broadcast partner of the PASL-Pro for the 2010 North American Championships, to be played at the Del Mar Arena March 11th-13th. 619 Sports will carry all five games of the championship live on their website, with video and audio livestreaming coverage worldwide.

 

619 Sports president and "Voice of the Sockers" Craig Elsten will handle the play-by-play for all five games, including the North American Championship on Saturday night. Zack Sugarman will be the color analyst.

619 Sports, broadcasting through their livestream.com channel, provides live video and audio play-by-play coverage, in addition to a side-screen chat room, a running score and stats ticker, and video interviews for pregame and halftime coverage.

 

619Sports.Net has broadcast San Diego Sockers road games throughout the 2009-2010 season and recently added home webcasts as well.

Cincinnati Closes Out Second Season Remaining Undefeated at Home

The 1790 Cincinnati Express closed out its second season in the PASL-Pro with a 14-4 victory over the Detroit Waza.  With the win, the Express improved their record at the Game Time Training Center in Fairfield, Ohio, to 16-0 with consecutive Eastern Division championships.

Playoff information will be announced soon.

The Express jumped out to a 3-0 first quarter lead over the visiting Waza.  It appeared that the Express would dominate the game, but the Waza bounced back strong in the second quarter with three unanswered goals to head to the halftime break tied with the Express at 3.

Cincinnati regrouped at halftime and dominated the second half, outscoring Detroit 11-1. John Mellencamp scored four goals for 1790 and Jeff Hughes had three goals and two assists.  Dominic Scicluna had a hat trick for Detroit.

 

1790 Express Takes on the Illusion Saturday Night at 8:00 PM

The 6-3 Express host the 5-4 Illusion in an 8:00 pm match.  This will be a battle for the top spot in the PASL Eastern Division where only two games separate first place from fifth place.  Cincinnati looks to avenge a 14-6 loss in their only previous match this year.
The Express will also be supporting the Compassion International Disaster Relief Fund to aid the survivors of last week's earthquake in Haiti.  Compassion has been partnering with churches in Haiti for 40 years, currently serving nearly 65,000 children throughout Haiti.  Donations in any amount are welcomed and are tax deductable.  For the latest Haiti updates, go to http://blog.compassion.com/haiti-earthquake-update/

Cincinnati Drops Saturday Night Game to the Vortex

Cincinnati loses to the Ohio Vortex 9-6.  The 1790 Express travels to Detroit to face the Waza on Sunday.
